Boesman & Lena - Diyar Dance Theatre

Boesman and Lena is a harrowing dramatic journey through one night in the life of a homeless “coloured” couple in South Africa, in the time of the ruthless Apartheid state. Full of rage and humor, oppression and a quest for freedom and a meaningful life, this is one of the greatest plays by one of the world’s greatest living playwrights.

In 2012 Athol Fugard received Broadway's prestigious Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Joe Martin is a playwright, author and director from Washington DC. He is Senior Lecturer in Theatre at Johns Hopkins University, and is currently in Palestine as a Fulbright Specialist in Theatre at Dar Alkalima University College for Arts & Culture - Theater Program/ Performing Arts Department.
