Deadline Extended - Bethlehem International Performing Arts Festival

Dear Colleagues, Friends and Fellow Artists,

We’ve been overwhelmed by the number, and quality, of applications we have received over the past Three months. And a first glance shows us that we’re going to have some critical, inspiring and creative work to pick from for the first Bethlehem International Performing Arts Festival.

We have decided to extend the application deadline until Sunday 31st of December 2017.  Hopefully this will provide time for the call out for our wonderful festival to spread a little further and for anyone rushing to get their application in a little more breathing space.

Meanwhile, the artistic committee will still meet on January 15th 2018 to select the finalists who will then be invited to participate in the festival. If you’ve any questions then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Rami Khader at Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist vor Spambots geschützt! Zur Anzeige muss JavaScript eingeschaltet sein!

October 5th to October 12th 2018, Bethlehem | Palestine

Dear Dance and Theatre Companies, Groups, Independent Theatres, Dance Makers and Artists!

It is our distinct pleasure to invite you to consider participating at the 2018 BIPAF.  We at Diyar Theatre / Diyar Academy for Children and Youth have held the festival twice on a national and regional level at the International Center of Bethlehem, Palestine.  The festival has been well-received, and we are now eager to expand participation to international dance, theatre, puppetry, dance theatre, circus, music theatre and storytelling groups.  To that end, we are opening the global application process for dance and theater companies, groups, independent theaters, dance makers and artists.

The festival will take place from October 5th to October 12th 2018.  We invite performing artists, groups and companies from all over the world to apply to participate at BIPAF.  All artists who want to donate their time to perform individually or/and provide workshops for children and adults are also welcome. All performers must be above 16 years old.

The application phase starts immediately and will be open until November 30, 2017. On the 15th of January 2018 our artistic committee will select the finalists to whom we will extend the invitation to participate in the festival.

Applicants are required to complete and return the application form below.  They must also provide a video example of their production via Youtube, Vimeo, e-mail or by sending a DVD with the application, as well as attach a technical rider and stage plan.
