“48 Minutes for Palestine”
The play will be performed twice during the tour, on the 7th of April in Lingen, and on the 13th of April in Hannover.
“48 Minutes for Palestine” is a compelling new drama without words, about a woman and a man living together against their will, told totally through physical action and original music. The play reveals the oppression which the woman goes through, but at the same time tackles the occupation of Palestine, and the attempt of displacing its people from their homes and lands.

The play has been touring the world since 2010. It is directed by Mojisola Adebayo, and performed by Edward Muallem and Riham Isaac.

“The Gaza Monologues”
The play will be performed on the 14th of April in Hannover, as part of Filistina Festival.
The play with its new production, presents the monologues which were written in 2010, along with some new monologues that were written in 2014; it focuses on the monologue as a text, and on physical pictures.

These monologues were written by ASHTAR Theatre students in Gaza in 2010, after the 2008-2009 Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip; the new monologues were written by the same students after the 2014, Israeli aggression.
The monologues were sent out to the world in October 2010, to tell the stories of these students, since then, the siege and aggression have continued and nothing changed, this production comes in continuation of the efforts to deliver this message.

This play is directed by Mohammad Eid, and performed by Rana Burqan, Yasmin Shalaldeh, Majdi Nazzal and Khalil Albattran.

Dramatic readings for “The Syrian Monologues”
These readings will be presented on the 8th of April in Lingen, on the 14th of April in Hannover, and on the 18th of the same month in Berlin.
“The Syrian Monologues” is a big number of monologues which were written by Syrian refugees in Jordan, the monologues tell the stories of their escaping from Syria after the war erupted. It is the result of extensive trainings held by ASHTAR Thearte, in 2015, for these refugees, whose ages range between 25 – 55 years old, these refugees came to Jordan from Dara’a, Homs, and the suburbs of Damascus between 2012 – 2014.

During the tour ASHTAR Theatre will present 8 Monologues, directed by Mohammad Eid and performed by Iman Aoun and Edward Muallem.
