    The Freedom Theatre launches training program in erarly childhood education

    After many months of preparation, a new adventure has begun at The Freedom Theatre: a one-year training program in early childhood education, based on a pedagogy of creativity and play!

    The program follows extensive research and involves both Palestinian and international specialists in early childhood education.

  • Deadline Extended - Bethlehem International Performing Arts Festival

    Dear Colleagues, Friends and Fellow Artists,

    We’ve been overwhelmed by the number, and quality, of applications we have received over the past Three months. And a first glance shows us that we’re going to have some critical, inspiring and creative work to pick from for the first Bethlehem International Performing Arts Festival.

    We have decided to extend the application deadline until Sunday 31st of December 2017.  Hopefully this will provide time for the call out for our wonderful festival to spread a little further and for anyone rushing to get their application in a little more breathing space.

  • Ibn Rushd Preis 2013 geht an palästinensische Liedermacherin

    Der Ibn Rushd Fund für Freies Denken freut sich, die palästinensische Sängerin, Komponistin und Arrangeurin  Rim Banna  als Trägerin  des 15. Ibn Rushd Preises bekannt zu geben. Mit dem Ibn Rushd Preis für Freies Denken zeichnet der Ibn Rushd Fund seit 1998 Menschen oder Organisationen aus, die sich um das Freie Denken in der Arabischen Welt verdient gemacht haben. Die Verleihung des Preises findet am 15. November 2013 im Museum für Islamische Kunst in Berlin statt, das auch in diesem Jahr mit dem Ibn Rushd Fund kooperiert.

    ASHTAR Theatre youth group is back after a successful tour in Germany with The Gaza Monologues which lasted 40 days with Kinder Kultur Karawane in different cities in Germany and Vienna.

    Tamer is still in Hamburg, even he wants really to be back home in Gaza. He is living in a single room in the youth hostel directly close to the harbour in Hamburg, which is paid by KinderKulturKarawane.

  • PPAN First Conference 2017

    The Palestinian Performing Arts Network invites to attend its first conference titled:

    "The Impact of Arts on Communities/Societies"

    which will be held on Wednesday 29th November until Friday 1st December, 2017 from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm at the Palestine Red Crescent Society, Al-Bireh.

    The conference will aim to assess the impact of arts as a powerful tool with which to engage communities in various levels of social, political, economic and educational change. The conference will host local, regional and international speakers to share their work and experience in their respective fields.
