Puppets for Women’s Rights and Gender Equality

Yes Theatre History: believes that theatre and drama can positively influence the children and youth to create a change in their society. Therefore, it works to inspire Palestinian children and youth in general and those in Hebron in particular to try out and to develop creative and constructive reactions to the challenges in their daily lives.

Drama Shelter

The Yes Theatre has launched a new initiative: "To provide a drama shelter for juveniles -children in conflict with the law instead of being sent to prison".

After the third round of Yes Theater to host juveniles instead of sending them to prison; and in spite of the lack of resources to accomplish this goal, the Yes Theatre has decided to go for the fourth round and host another 20 juveniles (kids in conflict with the law).

Die Jury des 13. WeltkindertheaterFests hat das Kindertheater „Theatre for Communication among Youth“ vom Yes Theatre in Hebron eingeladen. Kindertheater aus 17 Ländern werden vom 25. Juli bis 1. August 2014 in Lingen ihre Produktionen zeigen, miteinander diskutieren und in Workshops ihre Arbeitsmethoden austauschen.

Yes Theatre for Communication among Youth

Taking Detention out of Palestinian Children
The project is unique in that it gathers the energy and commitment of a group of partner organizations in the Hebron Governorate to foster a professional dialogue dynamics necessary for improving the psychosocial well being of Palestinian children who have just been released from detention in Israeli prisons.

Administrative detention, or detention without charge or trial for periods of 3 months, which may be renewed indefinitely, is a major source of trauma for both the detainees and the community as a whole.
