Logo des Al-Harah TheaterAl-Harah Theater aims to produce theater that is well crafted yet moving, challenging yet accessible and, essentially, honest. We believe that theater has the potential to change the lives of those who make it and those who watch it.

 Goals and objectives

To develop the Palestinian and Arab theatre movement by:

  • Organizing and conducting theater workshops and training programs.
  • Developing playwriting and script writing in Palestine.
  • Encouraging and facilitating the incorporation of theatre education into Palestinian curricula.
  • Participating in creating networks with other performing arts and culture groups in Palestine, the Middle East and internationally.
  • To reach audiences on local, regional, and global levels, by producing performances for all age groups and social backgrounds.

Al-Harah Theater works in 4 areas:

  • Producing and coproducing Theater for children, young people and Adults.
  • Touring locally, regionally and internationally.
    Reaching refugee camps, villages, cities and especially marginalized areas like area C.
  • Training Children and young people.
  • Train the trainers programs in drama and theater training.
  • Artistic exchanges for children and young people.
  • Organizing workshops for technical performing arts field.

Our work in 2011

  • Performed 145 shows
  • Reached 33,000 Audiences, 21,345 are children
  • Trained 125 children and young people 42 media coverage written, TV & Radio

  • Performed 135 shows
  • Reached 35,000 audiences, of whom 22,000 are children
  • Trained 115 children and youngsters. 117 media coverage written, TV & Radio
